DO YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS CLOSE PROPERLY?
This is the first place to look. Foundation issues will usually show up in some of the simpler places of your dwelling, like your doors and windows. If your windows and doors do not close as they should, have an improper fit or are not square, this may be the evidence of a shifting foundation. If there are any cracks in the windows, or cracks around the drywall or exterior of your dwelling around windows or doors, this will indicate some movement in the foundation in many cases.
ARE THERE CRACKS IN YOUR WALLS, FLOORING OR AROUND YOUR HOME EXTERIOR?
If you find cracks on your driveway, the exterior of your home or building, or around windows or doors, this is potentially a foundation issue. Diagonal cracks often indicate a sinkhole problem. On the exterior of your home, do you see what is known as stair-step cracks in your walls? Also, check your interior tile; slab issues will cause your tile to crack and separate from one another. Walkways, driveways, patios and pool decks will all show some sign of cracking if there is a foundation issue.
ARE THERE CRACKS AROUND THE EXTERIOR OF YOUR HOME?
Patios, walkways, sidewalks, driveways and other areas around your home are a good way to see if there might be a sinkhole issue. Be sure to check your home regularly for any indication of cracks. Call USS and we will give your home a free inspection.

Have you seen a lot of activity in your area, trucks pulling in and out? If your neighbors have had issues, that’s a good indication it’s time you check your foundation. We’ll help give you the peace of mind you need by checking for you.
